With the aim of finding poetry in the most trivial aspects of reality, Gaston Bertrand drew a sketch representing a hangar in 1945. The hangar is probably a rear building which is seen, once again, from a window looking onto the garden. Five years later, as he used to do so, Bertrand reworked on the drawing and produced eleven watercolours and one oil painting characterized by shaded grey colours and thin parallel lines.
