This painting is part of a series of compositions based on an interplay of crossed red and orange diagonals. Composition pour un mur reflects the artist’s aim at simplifying the theme in order to allow the expression of the material through the use of watercolour or oil painting. This material is integrated to the plans’ geometry and becomes denser at the edges of the plans.
